about easyFly

easyFly is a state of the art model aircraft flight simulator that allows you to practice different aspects of model aircraft flight from flying in thermic and hang-gliding to extreme 3D helicopter acrobatics.

If you are new to model aircraft flying it might be quite difficult to control an aircraft when you are standing in a fixed viewing position.
To get used on how an aircraft reacts when you apply the different functions like aileron, rudder and elevator you also have the choice to fly behind the aircraft, just like you probably know from other flight simulator games. Once you are familiar with this mode and manage to take-off and land without crashing you can place yourself close to the runway and try to fly like a real model aircraft pilot.

Did you ever want to practice a knife edge or inverted flight one meter above ground? Well using easyFly you can practice this maneuver over and over until you feel comfortable with trying it on your real flying field.
Practicing thermic flying and hanggliding has never been easier; simply place the Discus 2b glider on top of the mountain, adjust the windspeed and direction to your needs and launch the glider.

With the help of the variometer (a device that indicates whether you are gaining or losing energy with your airplane) you can find the areas of optimal thermic and adjust your glide path accordingly. When you locate the right areas you can even raise your glider above the first cloud layer. Then switch to the follow mode view and enjoy a beautiful flight above the clouds with a fantastic view over the whole island;
you should try it yourself!

Especially when it comes to helicopter flying the easyFly simulator can be a valuable tool to prevent expensive crashes on your real flying field.
The first step in learning how to fly a helicopter is to practice hovering. Once you manage to keep the helicopter at a constant height, position and orientation (the nose should point away from you) for at least 30 seconds you are ready to try it in real life.

easyFly is controlled either using a standard gameport joystick (we recommend you use at least one with 3 independant axis) or your own transmitter. In case you want to use your transmitter you can use the interface-cable that is being shipped with easyFly. The cable connects from the serial-port of your computer to the trainer output of your transmitter (so make sure your radio has a trainer output fitted). All standard rc-radio types are supported, check the requirements page for a list of supported manufacturers.
If you are unsure if your transmitter can be used with easyFly contact
